"Energy Centers" at Christ Community Church
Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 10:42AM The atrium at Christ Community Church in St. Charles, Illinois functioned more like a hall connecting various spaces. People passing through to their ministry destination created a “highway” feel - either high speed traffic or congested backups. A central information counter served as a focal point in an otherwise large and empty space. The church was looking for designated traffic patterns along with new “energy centers.”
People involved in Spirit-led ministry create high level energy centers. Therefore, Wildesign Group designed furniture pods where ministry can occur. Pods of various formality and social connecting distances provide a context for anyone’s comfort zones. Now, people can move quickly to their destinations or enjoy a rest stop for spiritual refueling. A refurbished information counter simplifies attenders’ decision making. New paint, brick veneer, carpet, and signage accent the energy centers with added vigor.
